Top Maryland Colleges
Do you remember my post about the The Top 100 Rated Maryland High Schools? “So, what about the top colleges in Maryland,” you might ask? Well, keep on reading.
Forbe’s just released a list of the top colleges across the nation, which put an emphasis on return on investment…and three Maryland colleges made the top 100!
The United States Naval Academy was the top school in the state, ranked No. 24 nationally. Johns Hopkins University was No. 66 and the University of Maryland filled the No. 82 spot.
Here are the top 5 Maryland schools on the list, which included 660 schools nationwide, with their national ranking in parentheses:

Forbes used data from the Department of Education, along with Payscale.com and the America’s Leaders List to compile the rankings on the top 660 schools. They rated each school on post-graduate success, student debt, student satisfaction, graduation rate and academic success.
The top 10 schools nationwide were:
- Stanford University
- Williams College
- Princeton University
- Harvard University
- Massachusetts Institute of Technology
- Yale University
- Pomona College
- Brown University
- Wesleyan University
- Swarthmore College
