Ahhhh…Independence Day. And no, I’m not talking about that horrible movie starring Will Smith😆. I’m talking about July 4th – the birth of American independence!

Parades, picnics, cookouts, and public fireworks displays are a great way to celebrate and kick-off the summer. You may be wondering about this years 2019 fireworks displays and spectaculars. Here’s a list of the best Baltimore, Maryland 2018 fireworks and celebrations, near you – now you just have to pick one to go to!

Baltimore’s Ports America Chesapeake 4th of July Celebration

July 4, 2019
Inner Harbor
Baltimore, Maryland 21202
Baltimore City –  Central Maryland
Commemorate Independence Day with live music and celebratory fireworks in the heart of downtown Baltimore. The event will showcase music by U.S. Navy Band starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater at Pratt and Light Streets. At 9:30 p.m., the spectacular fireworks show, choreographed to patriotic and contemporary music, can be viewed from many locations downtown and in the surrounding neighborhoods of Federal Hill, Fells Point, Canton and Harbor East.  410-752-8632.

Catonsville’s Independence Day Celebration

July 4, 2019

Baltimore County – Central Maryland
This all-day, fun-filled Catonsville tradition (since 1947) features children’s games, races, and concerts starting at 9:30am. The  Annual Grand Parade is so popular, residents often set out chairs in advance along the route on Frederick Road.  The Parade steps off at 3pm.  Hailed as “the best fireworks display in the region” begins at 9:15pm. at Catonsville High School.   443-840-9574

Dundalk Heritage Association Independence Day Parade and Fireworks

July 4, 2019 (Rain date July 5)
North Point Government Center
Dundalk, Maryland
Baltimore County – Central Maryland
The 84th Annual Dundalk 4th Of July Parade takes place on July 4 starting at approximately 8:15 a.m.  The Parade theme is “Saluting America.”  Fireworks start at approximately 9:15 p.m. at the North Point Government Center/Grange Elementary.  Rain date for fireworks is July 5. 410-284-4022

Fourth of July Celebration

Celebration includes food, fun, and fireworks. Gates open at 3pm, with general admission in effect until 5pm.  After 5pm, a $5 per car donation to the Westminster Kiwanis Club begins.  The fireworks begin at approximately 9:30pm.

The Annual Independence Day Celebration, featuring the regionally renowned parade from Union Avenue to Tydings Park, will focus on honoring and recognizing local first responders.  In addition to the parade, enjoy a  Block Party along Washington Street that takes place around 4:30pm.  A Concert at Hutchins Park begins at 7pm.
